Green Chile Cook-off and Festival, September 21st

The 3rd Annual Ignacio Green Chile Fest and Cook-off! 

Join us Saturday September, 21st at Shoshone Park from 3 to 6pm for some family fun! The Ignacio Chamber of Commerce and Local Businesses have once again come together to bring you the 3rd Annual Green Chile Fest. 

The you can handle the heat? Join us for the The 3rd Annual Green Chile and Salsa Cook-off! Register your entry by September 18th at Farmers Fresh Market and see if you hold up to the competition. 1st place, 2nd place and the Poeple’s Choice Awarded in each category. Businesses are welcome. Cooking starts at 12pm and tickets will go on sale at 3pm. Come sample some Amazing Green Chile and Salsa and vote for your favorite Cook for the coveted Peoples Choice Award. Tickets are $1 each and are good for one 4oz sample of Green Chile or one 2oz samples of Salsa with Chips. We will have the 3rd Annual Corn hole Tournament. Gather your friends and try your hand at this fun backyard game. Cash Prizes!! The Tournament start at 3pm on Saturday Sept, 21st. Team Registration will start at 2:30pm, registration is $30 per team. Pre-register your team for only $25 by September 18th. Call 970-749-0209 to pre-register. 

There will be live music by Girls in the Neighborhood. A Beer Tent Sponsored by Bottom Shelf Brewery and Wells Liquor South. A bounce house for the kids provided by Dub’s Auto Body. Free Face Painting and Balloon Animals. Kids Games Games and Volley Ball provided by the Southern Ute Tribe and Southern Ute Rec Center. Shade Tents donated by Walkers True Value. Not to mention the vendors- Fresh Tortillas, Fry Bread, Kettle corn and so much more! Of course you cant have a Green Chile Fest with out Green Chile. There will be Fresh Green Chile roasting by the Wright’s Family Farm.
