Do you love Green Chile? Chile Season is officially here and with that comes the 2nd Annual Green Chile Fest and the Green Chile Cook-off. Saturday September 8th. Come enjoy an afternoon of amazing green chile, good friends, family and music. We will have Cash prizes in Corn hole and the Green Chile Cook-off, face painting, kids games, beer tent and more!
The Green Chile Fest starts at 3pm with Green Chile Tasting from 4-6pm. Ticket will be sold Saturday Sept, 8th starting at 4pm for $1 each. Tickets can be used to acquire a 4 oz. sample of green chile or a 2 oz. sample of salsa and chips.
Try them all or just a few, but vote for your favorite cook! All votes are counted towards the People’s Choice Awards in each category. 1st and 2nd place and People’s Choice awards are handed out at 6:30pm.
If you wish to participate in this years Green Chile Cook-off, sign up at Farmers Fresh Market by Sept 3rd. Registration forms can be picked up at the customer service desk or printed from the links below. All green Chiles must be cooked onsite Sept 8th from 12-4 pm. All meat and green chiles will be provided by Farmers Fresh Market.
Awards in each category, Green Chile and Salsa –
1st place – Gold Medal and a $100 gift card to Farmers Fresh
2nd place – Silver Medal
People’s Choice Award – A small trophy and a $50 gift card to Farmers Fresh.
